X removed it from every self-serve tier in April 2026. A feature that cannot fire is worse than none.
Replies only where X allows them
Since February 2026 an automated reply is only accepted when that post’s author @mentioned or quoted you. That is exactly what the reply queue does — and it is why it never replies to strangers.
